Default DVR keeps stopping - help

Hi,
This is my first post.
I have a MU055 4Ch DVR and have 2 wireless cameras attached,
However I keep finding it stops recording if I get a video loss signal - normally caused by next doors microwave oven which they use a lot.

Has anyone else had this problem ? If so is there a fix?

Regards

Woody

I have came across that problem but not with your model but all I did was a simple moving DVR but was alot work with cables or you could move it to other side room.

It just due to the Frequency

Thanks for the reply, I dont have wired cameras, the problem seems to be when the video loss signal comes up on the wireless set up.

Oh, Well the really only option would be to get it tested, I dunno if anyone here lives near him but likely case I don't or You can buy Test kit of Security Suppliers, Woody if you want PM me if you live around Central Belt Scotland.

Nowhere near you I'm afraid, have just finished hardwire connecting my old video camera to the box and will give that a run just to prove to myself that it is not the DVR.
Thanks again

Sorry for the delay, yes it does, have now moved one receiver a lot closer to the camera and that is working ok now. Am thinking of getting some exterior cat5 cable and baluns so that I can set up the receivers right alongside the cameras.

I have one camera on the front of my garage covering my drive and front door and the second on my shed covering my rear garden.

If I run exterior cat5 cable through the garage and into the shed is it OK to strip a bit of the outer cable away to get at a couple of the inner cables to connect to the baluns for the shed camera ? I then want to run the rest of the cable to my house and the DVR.

Regards

Woody

Cheap Wirless is bloody hard work! Why not just sell your camera's on ebay and install some hard wired ones.

Your planning or running a loop or cat5 to your camera positions and cutting into it to connect where you want a camera?

If I understand you correctly you should be fine.

Cat5 Are ok if your DVR accepts them and the Cameras wants to like them.

But Cat5 Cables is great I recently re fitted an School with Cat5 and We noticed the real clear and better images than before and much quicker.

I would recommend you replace your CCTV after least 3years as the lens start lose the clarity, As CCTV is meant to have an life spam of 10 Years (10years most Tech moves on after 10secs)
