which CCD matrix ???

hi!
I just wonder which of these two 1/3" and 1/4" CCD matrix is better and what actually is the difference between them? what are theyr deffects and advantages? anyone knows?

Hi.

In my view size counts so 1/3" for me! The early 1/4" were not very good but now most PTZ domes seem to use them. You will find that lenses will be more telephoto on the 1/4 chip.

I'm not too sure of the advantages of 1/4" and most high quality cameras still use 1/3". Also 1/4" may be popular with manufactures as you can get more 1/4" chips from the same sheet of silicon.
