Default Advice needed on non-working system

Hi,

We have a small farm and in 2002 had a local comany fit a 6 cameras along with a Hitachi VT-L4024E recorder, the system that runs the cameras from what I can tell is a nicecam DM-900f/pac with a BWCCTV monitor MT-ISA.

I am hoping this may mean something to you guys on here as the system has not worked properly since installation. after having the guy out a number of times, strangely enough the comany dissapeared!

The monitor seemed to go dodgy first going fuzzy, the almost couldn't make out any of the images. We then tried turning it off and when we turned it back on there was no picture at all.

Anyone has any experience of these systems any advice would be most welcome as ideally we would like to get the system back up and running rather than have to get a full new system.

Thanks

Kathryn

Kathryn its very hard to diagnose a fault with the information you have provided, it may just be a faulty monitor, have you tried plugging another monitor in to the vcr to see if you get a picture? This is the user manual if you where not left with one Hitachi VTL4024E User manual Download , where in the country are you?

Yes that the issue is that If your in Scotland one my guys could go out and test your Base system but if not am sure your be able to find some1 to test it.

Or call the company that fit it to have a look at it as CCTV meant to last for 10years and Under Sale of Goods act that company MUST have an FREE look at it as I was hit couple days ago with this hidden law
