Hello
I have just purchased a DVRLCD250 4 Channel CCTV DVR. This system has 4 BNC video inputs and 1 BNC video output. I have also purchased a Sentient 5.8 GHz Wireless camera, model n20GB. This camera has been supplied with a cable with RCA connections. I’m not sure if this cable is audio or video but the RCA connections are yellow and red. I would like to connect the wireless CCTV camera to the DVR. I would like to see video and hear audio from the camera on the DVRLCD250. Any help would be appreciated as to how to set this up Thanks Ron |

Hello Ron
Firstly you will need a (or some) simple phono to BNC converters to convert the video output and audio output on your 5.8GHz receiver cables - your DVR inputs will be BNC so this is the first thing you'll need to do (if you bought the wireless kit and the DVR from the same company then really they should have supplied these for you to make your order "connection ready"). You will only be able to record the audio if your DVR has an audio input... On your RCA cable yellow will be video & red will be audio - I'm assuming there is also a power socket on the wireless camera?

Thanks for the reply.
Yes there is power on the wireless camera and the DVR has audio input and audio output. I have purchased a RCA to BNC jack but still cannot get a picture on the DVR. I connected the RCA to BNC jack to yellow cable. I then connected this yellow cable to the DVR video output. There is still no image on the DVR. I’m beginning to think the camera I have purchased is faulty. The reason for this is I connected the I RCA yellow cable to yellow RCA port on a normal TV. I then selected AV and still cannot see picture from the wireless camera. Have I got the configuration correct or is there something I have missed. Thanks |

You mentioned "I then connected this yellow cable to the DVR video output" -
The receiver video OUTPUT must be connected to a video INPUT on the DVR. The same when you are connecting to a TV - video output from receiver goes to video input on your TV.

Hello
Thanks to everyone. I have now have it sorted and can view and record images on the DVR. I simply needed to purchase RCA to phone Jack, and then connect the yellow video socket to a video input source. Thanks ![]() |
