Hi, this is my first post and I've only just joined, but I'm hoping some of you may be able to help.
I've purchased a wired CCTV system which I plan to install. My concern is the cable connection between the camera and the extension cable that connects to the DVR and carries the video and power. This will be exposed to the elements and I'm not sure how best to weather-proof these connections. I was going to just wrap it in insulating tape, but I'm sure there must be a better way. Thanks for any advice you can offer. |

You should use a proper weatherproof box so that the actual connectors are housed.

![]() Use one of these mate, mount your camera on the front of it, nik a bit out under the lid so your cable will just fit between the box and lid, make your connections and put the cover (camera) back on, sealed conections.................
