Default Focus Adjustment to Cameras

Currently I have 6 cameras at about 20m from my monitor these cameras sometimes need to have their focus adjusted.

All through a TV card and computer with Dual Monitors.

Currently I use a TV and use the Video Channel to check each camera.

Is there not a simpler way oif say using a second hand Door Entry Video etc. Going up ladders is a little difficult.

Most CCTV installers use test monitors (small format screens), so that they can check focus whilst right next to the camera itself. That way you can make adjustments there and then without having to keep running back to your TV to check the image.

Ask pakatak said, you can use test monitors to correct this. If not, you may be able to get around this by using hooking up a monitor close to the unit and running it direct. There's a few people which do this because as you know, its definitely not fun trying to adjust things when you need someone to keep an eye on how well its improving

Hi just quickly after you get everything sorted with a monitor, you may find the cameras will respond better to a night time focus. just be carefull not to fall of your ladder.
