RapidOS usb 2 Mobile surveillance DVR

Hi there im really in need of help please!!
I have a Dell studio1737 laptop which was originally running vista I downgraded it to XP pro sp3 then purchased the Rapidos usb 2 dvr from ebay
I installed the software and hardware but when I go to fire it up i get a message EDVR£%.EXE has encountered a problem and it shuts down the program and reverts me to the desktop every time.

Thinking service pack 3 was the problem i did a total re format of hardrive and installed a fresh copy of windows xp sp2 to no avail.

I then thought the product was faulty and sent it back to buyer and purchased a second Rapidos dvr system identical to the first only to encounter the same problem plaease help.

System specs are: Pentium Dual Cpu : T3400 @ 2.16ghz 2.17GHZ
Memory : 3 Gb
Graphics : Intel 4 series chipset 256mb i think .
