Which is the safest browser?

I am using IE and Mozilla Firefox. I like Mozilla because it's faster, but the thing I don't like about it is that when I open the Browser my Internet connection, fluctuates and after a few web surfing my connection fails. I don't know what's causing the problem. I'm not so bothered by it since I have IE, IE had more tools to offer and It has improved more in the recent years.

I am using both internet explorer and firefox2. I think firefox is safest. It offers built in protection from phishing, which warns users when they come across forged websites .

Opera is the safest, and fastest.
It is more secure than both Firefox and IE.
Most security specialists I know use Opera.

Opera kicks the ass of both firefox and IE.
Better security and just better in general.
Opera 9.1 also has phishing protection built in.

Well, the long and the short of it is that I've soured on Firefox these days ....it crashed too much. I'll give Opera a try for sure now.

I'm not too sure but my favourite is Firefox...then Opera then Internet Explorer...

I also use Firefox. One of its plug-ins (NoScript) does a good job block scripts from websites that might be damaging. I've not had any problems with Firefox and have been using it for about 2 years on my PC.

For an interesting article on the subject, google for Homeland Security Internet Explorer. The US Homeland Security basically says stay away from Internet Explorer.

The alternatives are Firefox (Gecko engine), Safari/Chrome/Konqueror (Webkit engine) and Opera (Presto engine). All are a significant improvement over Internet Explorer when it comes to security. Use whatever you prefer.
