Default Rape alarms?

Not sure what they're called, it's the alarms that women can carry in their handbag or wherever, and set it off if threatened to create a loud noise.

I'd like to find a supplier in the UK who wholesales these. Any suggestions?

not sure where you would get them, but these are great. we were given one of these when i was at university. thankfully i never had to use it but they are really loud and would definately attract attention.

Indeed, they are loud.

I always meant to get my girlfriend one - I know they were giving them out at uni at one point - but I've not seen them around since.

I guess I should search online...

In lieu of those particular alarms, women should carry a whistle on their key chain. My wife also carries mace.

I suggest doing a google search.

I carry my keys in my hand, with one pointed out so if someone attacks me I can poke them in their eyes and temporarily blind them while I make a run for it.....mace and whistles are not bad ideas, however whistles may not be as attention getting as one would think. My kids are outside blowing whistles all the time and no one has ever stopped to ask them if they need help....

Unless I've misunderstood what you mean by mace, I wouldn't have though it was legal to do that?

I presume he means Mace spray, rather than the mediaeval weapon? Or is carrying mace in the US restricted?

Do you all live in densely populated urban areas? I ask because I haven't thought about these types of devices in a long time, but I live rurally.
