I'm inclined to agree that this isn't going to solve the problem.

I find it frustrating that people continually scratch around the surface instread of dealing with the root cause of problems.

It'll never solve the problem in total. But at minimum, it's a step in the right direction. The US has very little control over its borders and we needed to something.

We've needed to do something for years. The drug 'corridor' which has been an inherent problem on the Texas/Mexican border should have been dealt with in a better way years ago!!!!

I've never understood why our borders were so open ...and still are! Of course, crossing at Niagara going in and out of Canada is closely watched, but 50 miles away there are small crossing points where there's barely even a stop point. I know this from the illegal Brits living in New England who go back and forth so they can fly from Canada to the U.K. and re-enter all the time!
