I think the doubt is being funded by the oil companies IMO. They pay off lecturors to speak out against global warming for obvious reasons. All the opposition to gores movie is a clear example of it.

And not a bad 2c at all. It's very frustrating to note the changes in weather that have taken place in recent memory and see the head in the sand reaction to the possible causes on the part of the US government. It's scary.

I think people like Gore and others who are very devoted to environmental causes are actually hurting their own causes by seemingly putting environmental issues before others which effect people more on a daily basis ..like health care, etc. The environment is a problem which we must deal with, but people won't leave all their other worries behind to take it on.

The movie "Day After Tomorrow" was exaggerated but really got people moving in terms of global warming...but more still has to be done...I still think we're quite some way away from the peak of global warming...
