Everyone is talking about this right now and seems to be either on one side or the other of the idea. To me,, it seems like normal process in defining these terrorists. I know it pisses some people off. What do you think?

Too often people are targeted simply for being different.
After the Heathrow scare, we had another story after where passengers called for the removal of two Muslims on their plane, simply because they were speaking Arabic. Sad but true. |

When I came back to the States last week, I flew out of Manchester. Security was extremely tight as you might imagine. While we were allowed carryon bags (with no fluids), my carryon was gone through four times prior to boarding. Anyone with dark hair or complexion (which I am not) was scrutinized time and time again. Just as we were getting on the plane, a young woman in front of me with dark hair was pulled aside, and they literally used a magnifying glass to look at the seams in her shoes.
This is all getting too weird for regular travel! |

I agree with racial profiling. Lets face it who is more likely to want us dead?? Even in the last hate tape to surface they are asking for americans to recruit by scaring us. They know what we are doing and are now trying to get more english looking people for the cause. Sometimes the political correctness needs to be put to the side.

I agree. We've gotten so politically correct that we end up feeling guilty about racial profiling, but it's accurate!
It is interesting the recruitment for more English looking people. And, they will succeed in that too. |

My husband received an e-mail from her sister, It's about our Social Security Number. They say that some employers already knew about your race before they even meet you. The e-mail said that white people's 5th SS Number is even and for black people it's odd. I'm really hoping that this is not true and just a mere speculation.
