Im an MP in the Marines and Ive been sprayed numerous times. I would definatly recommend that over a stun gun.

I think stun guns are a little too dangerous for the average carrier of them, don't you? I'm grateful for your input.

I just dont think stun guns pack enough wallop to stop anyone. I used one on myself to see how much it hurt, and it hurt(left scars on my abs) but only enough to make me angry and I would probably do more damage to a person if they stun gunned me than if they sprayed me. Tazers are totally different and completely disable people, but they are a one time hit or miss weapon.

I don't really know why but I would rather have mace than a stun gun myself. Thank you also to the poster that explained the difference between pepper spray and mace.

Well with pepper spray you can disable more than one person at a time too.

True ...and risk spraying yourself too. I do agree that the sprays are probably better for the average consumer.
