I always lock our doors. I cannot go to sleep unless they are locked. In this day and age it really doesn't matter anymore as much on where you live. Crime seems to happen even in the most upscale communities. Better to be safe than sorry is the way I look at it.

I lock out of habit ...from living in Manhattan for years ...but I like living in an area where the windows downstairs can stay open at night. It's worth the price of real estate. Oh, but I have dogs too lol.

If somebody wants to break in while I am at home, I want to make sure they have to work hard enough that they make some noise. That will give me time to grab the cell, call the police, and do what I can to see to my safety. |
