Do you lock your car doors when the car is in the driveway or garage?
Do you lock your house door when you are home? I find that i lock my car doors in the driveway but dont lock my house door when home. If someone ever decided to walk in i dont know what i would do either. I really should get in the habit of locking the door. |

The last two places I've lived in were in very safe areas so I got lazy about locking the door. I lock up at night and if I go to the store but during the day, the doors are usually wide open when I'm home. Of course, I have dogs who will tell me if there's so much as a squirrel outside too.

I always make sure my doors are locked but I hardly ever lock my car. It's like I'm getting some sort of mixed message or something.
Actually, my neighborhood is fairly safe but the things are changing so I'm being better about locking everything. |

Im in a pretty safe area as well. I have no neighbors just a horse farm behind me. On the news the other day though a man had escaped from police custody and was being hunted about 20 mins from me. So now im thinking i should lock the doors lol.

Something like that will snap you to attention! Definitely would me.
I learned a lesson the other night because it was warm and the front door was open after dark. I flipped on the front light when the dogs went out and there was a skunk. Different type of criminal yet !!!! Fortunately, the dogs are obedient and 'stayed'. |

It's possibly the worst smell there is ...and it takes the longest to get rid of too. The windows all were open that night, and even though the dogs didn't get sprayed, it took a couple of hours before there was enough breeze to get the smell out. Thankfully, I turned on all the ceiling fans and that helped lol.

I used to live in a really bad area, and sometimes would forget to lock the front door or car (this is a house that was direct onto the street). Was always surprised when nothing happened.
![]() Also remembered once leaving the car in a car park in Manchester overnight - unlocked - and it didn;t get stolen. Maybe just lucky on those counts. Of course, that said, didn't deter people when I did lock it - once had a rear window smashed on the car while parked outside the house, and another time sometime tried to prise the passenger door off. |

yep, we do lock both our car doors and house doors. we're especially cautious these days since a lot of robbery has been going on INSIDE our subdivision. we have a feeling that it's actually an inside job. my friend, after parking his car beside our house, found later that his side mirrors had been taken...

I feel lucky to live in a very rural area which has almost no crime ...I can leave the car doors unlocked at most stores that I go to. There are a couple of larger towns I go to though where I lock up good!
