I have such trouble when voting time comes around. I feel like I am trying to pick the best of two evils. I mean it just seems like politicians anymore are just out for themselves. Does anyone else feel this way. It just make voting so frustrating for me.

You know vicki2 I never really thought about it on those exact terms. But you are right. I guess I just think that if you go into politics it should be to want to help people. Then to find out a lot of times that they have lied to get into office is just discourging to me. Thanks for making that comparison though because you are right I was judging a whole party for the actions of a few.

I loved the slogans in the French Presidential Elections a couple of years back - Chirac vs a far-right candidate: "Vote for the gangster, not the fascist". Pretty much sums up politcs, I guess.

I'm going through sort of a culture shock ...politically ...being back in the States right now. The current crop of political ads for next week's election are as nasty as I ever thought I'd see! Whew.

You are so right about the ads this year. They are downright nasty. I am so tired of seeing them. Cannot wait until this election is over with. I don't know about you but when I see these absolutely nasty ads it doesn't make me think that I should vote for the other person in the least.
