Default Security systems?

Our neighbor across from us has had a lot of problems with people coming onto his property at night. We think it is just local kids in the neighborhood because the things they are doing are things like tearing down their decorations, breaking their fence. He wants to get one of those cameras that you can put outside and see what is going on and maybe a some type of alarm system. Does anyone on here no of a good product to recommend? Thanks

I think an outside security light would be a first, but there are plenty of CCTV/home surveillance options open, and they can be pretty cheap, accessible, and easy to install.

One company I particulalrly recommend in the UK is Pakatak: http://www.pakatak.co.uk/

Worth a call perhaps, just to explore options.

Thank you for the suggestion. Just last night we lost power here and some kids were over their tearing down his birdfeeders. The good thing is that one of them got caught in the act. So hopefully this will deter the others. Thanks again.

When dealing with kids, I guess the solution is a good scare; catch one, and all of the kids will probably stop (hopefully.)

if the problems only acure when you have power problems then it doesnt realy matter what devise you use, a camera can be usefull in other cases but you need to be able to get good images from it, and bare in mind time & date will be needed for any kind of prosecution.
