In mu humble opinion Dummy (real dummy) Camera's wont work, they are for sale in pound shops and on ebay and they know what they look like! But camera's do reduce crime by 95% in he area they are looking at! When you think of a cctv camera you think of this big robust housing, and then how much it all costs, well its the camera in side the housig that costs the money not the housing, so when we install dummy camera's we install propper housings but with out the expencive camera in side! So i believe dummy camera's work but real dummy camera's not these cheap plastic ones!

Poundshop cahin have a really good and realistic dummy cctv camera that we have two off installed they dont come under any ruling and have a realistic red flashing led and camera lens in a small dome cover which when mounted and flashing look the part.
For a quid a piece you cant go far wrong can you they obviously wont record anything but will keep the scroats away from your car etc as in our case. Its all about kidoligy we have a dummy but real alarm box front and rear and a dummy camera front and rear and x our fingers no issues in the 6 yrs we have been here whilst others around us have. It has to prove something does it not ?? Our current issues surround a neighbour and whether we should fit real cctv to catch them out or not Slanj |
