I think I mentioned this before, but here is some more detailed info, there is a safety jackets that will give off electric shocks to anyone attacking you:

I agree that it might be kind of bad. I guess it would depend on how sensitive it was and how much force it would take to activate it. I guess if you worked somewhere late at night you could wear it when going to your car alone.
