Default Online banking

Call me oldfashioned but personally I am still outweighing the pros and cons when it comes to online banking. What do you think of online banking? Read this:

Jim Maloney, will be presenting along with George Tubin, a senior analyst at Tower Group, on the topic of preventing fraud in the online banking world. They’ll discuss the threats, ways to protect customers, and some tools and processes that can help get the job done. It’s a hot topic in the marketplace, and I think many people will find this Web cast interesting from a security perspective, regardless of whether or not you work at a financial institution.

Fortunately, online banking is pretty limited. Even if you could login to my online accounts, you couldn't do anything with the information - you can't withdraw except to authorized accounts. If they want to view my statement or pay my bills, go ahead!

I also do a lot of my banking online. I have had no problems so far. Hopefully I never do but I find it so much easier to do my banking online.

There have never been any problems for me since banking online. There are only certain things I do online and my bank does seem to offer a very high level of security.

I live in a rural area and use a small local bank that only has three branches total. Recently, they started offering online banking and I'll sign up for it. When I was with a larger bank in NYC, I banked online and it was great for bill paying. Beats a stamp!

I couldnt agree with you more on that. I do all of my banking online. Hell if Im going to buy stamps to pay bills. By the time I write out 1 check I could already have all of my bills paid.

Well, the way I figure it is that online banking has been around long enough for good safety measures to be solid enough. I haven't heard of an security breaches that were huge. So, I'm doing it!
