Bank fraud E-mails

I have a national bank and recieved an email wanting account verfication , I though it was strange because I had never recieved an e-mail from them and I do my online banking all the time, I called the bank and they confirmed it was a fake, so I never never confirm anything through an e-mail, and that goes along way to staying safe.

It's always best to go directly to the site rather than clicking on a link in an email. That way, you can't be fooled.
