Default doors locked

I always keep my house doors locked even when I'm home. I have noticed though that I am pretty relaxed about my car doors. I am wondering if I should be more careful about that.

You know I am the same way for some reason. But I would think the best thing to do would be to just make sure you lock them. My husband is forever on me to make sure I lock the car doors at night.

I think that you should always be protected and locking doors of your car and home is one way. You can say thay you live in a safe neighborhood, but you can't always be sure that there are certain individuals who are planning to do something within your block or even your house.

All locks should be on...always...even if you live in a safe neighbourhood...you must realise that people can move...even if they live 3 miles from your neighbourhood...

I'm a social worker and I have to make a fair number of visits to some areas that aren't so safe, so I always make it a point to lock my car doors.

A nurse who worked with our agency forgot to do that once, and a guy got into her car with her at a stoplight. She said he was more drunk than malicious, and got out when she shouted at him to, but nevertheless how scary!

I have been trying to make sure to lock the car doors more. My husband is very pleased with me now. You all brought up some very great points.

I like my car because the doors lock automatically as soon as I shift from "park" to "drive." I'd much rather it do that than me have to worry about each individual door.

Yes! You should it is estimated, last that I read, that 37% of muggings occur because the person hasn't locked their vehicle.

I remember reading somewhere that in 30% of burglaries, thieves don't have to bother to break into the house. They simply enter through an unlocked door or window.

I would have to agree in that I know people that lock their home doors but seem to not remember their windows all the time.
