Default Re: Do you carry a gun?

I don't carry a gun for several reasons:

1) I'm not trained to use a gun, but in other athletic pursuits, I've established that my aim is abysmal.

2) I honestly don't know if I could shoot another human being.

3) I've seen how often handguns can fall into the wrong hands (e.g., those of a burglar or a friend's child coming over to play).

4) People with bipolar disorder tend to be very impulsive at times, and considering how deep my depression gets, I think I'd be far more likely to shoot myself than I would be to use the gun to protect myself.

So--no gun for me!

It is constitutional for the Uk to have self defence laws. Should normal citisens carry weapons and have access to them? Hell yes! I am not scared of criminals having weapons, I am scared of law abiding citizens not having them.

That is why you use a safe.
