Ifyou didn't call for help or invite someone in your home, don't let them in the front door. That goes for everyone you don't know personally.

Once they get inside they can get an idea of where you keep everything and where you might have anything that could be used as a weapon against you.

Excellent safety tip. Nobody gets into my apartment unless I know who they are and am expecting them.
