Default CCTV for Office

Hi There,

Im interested in puchasing some "home security" for my business, which currently operates from a small office in Bristol. Recently a number of things have gone missing, which has cost my company a lot of time and money.

We were looking at purchasing a Wireless camera with streaming and recording ability. As the office is fairly small, we would only require one camera to cover the entire room. The room is more rectangular and it would cover the main (only) access point. The stairs.

Is there any recommendations to which cameras are plausable for this kind of situation. The budget is fairly flexible although nothing ecessive. The hardware in the office is more than necessary for recording and streaming of the video. As long as its Windows compatible.

Many thanks,

Andii

Actually, even for a rectangular room, big or small, you would need at least TWO cameras, otherwise you will have a blind spot for the area below your singular camera.

But if you are only going to cover the access points, then the number of cameras would be, of course, the number of access points.

Andii, there are quite a few options available, and what's better, if you didn't want an invasive-looking camera sticking out in the corner of the room, you could alternatively go for something like a pinhole camera or otherwise small device, which will give you a lot of coverage without having to be too obvious about the filming.

A company I know that sells some good miniature camera is Pakatak: Pakatak Security & Surveillance Products - so certainly worth checking them out for something.

there are many solutions available to you, both overt and covert, depends if you want the staff etc to be aware of the system.

as a personal preference if the items going missing are valuable / expensive then i wold personall recommend on site recording via DVR with remote connections / viewing.

if i can be of any other help then give me a shout.
