NO matter what you do and if it for Security purpose and you want to use to fight crime and use it in court you are legally required to be SIA register. This may set back the Church Money but the church is no different to Shop on conner or that shopping centre.

If you are operating the CCTV and are not SIA register you can be fined or sent to jail or BOTH and if that if your found guilty that most likly to happen you will be told to get SIA Regstiter and if you fail to so you may get told to remove the CCTV which again will cost you money.

Sorry mate, I think you need to check the regs.

The only requirement here is for DPA notification.

SIA is 100% not required.

There is no way anyone can tell you to remove CCTV unless it contravenes planning regs.

All CCTV is usable in court, however it is obtained and the use of SIA liciensed operatives (PSS) would have no bearing here.

The DPA requires the system to be fit for purposed, properly signed, managed in accordance with best practice and correctly maintained.
